Lana is a legal immigrant to the U.S. who subscribes to and has worked hard to achieve the American Dream. She loves this country and is grateful for all the opportunities it has afforded her. Lana believes our nation is distinguished by its inherent beauty and its embodiment of life, liberty, and freedom. She has conceived and appreciates that in America, the realm of possibilities knows no bounds and that the American Dream is within reach for anyone that is willing to strive for it. By faith, Lana walked away from her beloved profession of twelve years as a Federal Officer for the opportunity to serve the country that has blessed her and her family beyond measure.
Lana is a woman of faith, wife, mother, and die-hard Conservative; when it comes to Conservatism, on a scale of 1-10, she has declared that she is an 11. She believes God is at the center of Conservatism and that He is the standard and guide for what we believe. Originally from Trinidad, Lana's family migrated to America when she was six years old, settling in Brooklyn, New York. Lana explained that when she was younger, she was disinterested in politics and attributed her former ideologies to the very liberal culture of New York. In time, as she matured, she began to question things within the culture that did not quite align with her deeply held morals, values, and beliefs, which grew a desire within her to learn more about the world of politics. Lana's first time voting was for George Bush Jr. and has been voting in accordance with her Conservative values ever since.
After losing four dear friends in the tragedy of 9/11, Lana was compelled to give back in some way and began to seek God for purpose. As fate would have it, Lana and her family were invited to visit Houston, Texas and loved it - they moved to the great state of Texas and never looked back. The Conservative atmosphere of Texas cultivated the inward conversion that began in her years prior, and Lana gained an even better understanding of policy as it relates to culture. Her purpose became realized, as she was compelled to advocate for and defend the values and opportunities that America represents. Lana is most passionate about securing our borders, upgrade of infrastructure, protecting the family unit, investing in small businesses, and returning to a thriving economy.
Lana holds a Master's Degree at TWU, where she graduated with honors. She has prided herself in satisfying all fees associated with her higher education and has been living debt-free for five years.

Julie's top priority once elected is education, where she intends to empower parents by involving them in the education system and return the focus to the basics of Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic, less the progressive liberal innerworkings. She is also a supporter of School Choice. Julie understands that the nuclear family is the backbone of any nation and leads to the greatest possible chance for a child to succeed. She believes that we should be supporting strong families and not immorality that leads to broken homes. Julie values law and order and our 2nd Amendment rights, which go hand in hand with Economic Growth. Safe communities provide an environment that is conducive to small businesses, where they may feel free to do business, thrive, and strive to achieve the American Dream.
Living close to the border, Julie has seen 1st hand the many atrocities that illegal aliens and American citizens experience due to the unprotected border and weak border policies. She promises to fight to secure our border and to rightly declare the drug cartels as terrorist organizations so that our military can effectively secure the Southern Border and protect communities thereof. Julie not only cares about the lives of those affected by the border crisis, but also values life inside the womb - she is 100% Pro-Life without exceptions.
Julie is in favor of the elimination of property taxes for Americans of 65 years of age and older; she believes that hard-working Americans should be able to retire without fear of economic instability.
