Matt Morgan is a native Texan, successful small business owner of 10 years, family man, and Proud Patriot. He prides himself in being a true Conservative, which he believes is to be fiscally and socially balanced. He grew up in district 26, so he understands the needs of the community and has answered the call to give them a voice.
Matt is a man of faith that comes from a long line of Conservatives; his ancestral family were a part of the original 300 that moved to Texas with Stephen F. Austin in 1825. When it comes to Conservatism, on a scale of 1-10, he proclaims that he is a 12. His family also has history of public service; his grandmother, mother, and sister were all Texas Educators. From assisting with building homes through Habitat for Humanity to collecting over 100,000 books for needy children for a literacy organization in Houston, Matt has proven to follow in their Public Servant footsteps.
Matt has been happily married for 17 years, is a proud eagle scout, cub scout leader, and has made a significant mark in the world of insurance as a Public Insurance Adjuster for his attention to detail and for advocating on behalf of policy holders of various insurance companies who have suffered losses. Matt received the Eagle Scout "Young American Award" and in 1993 he earned proclamation of a day in his honor from the City of Houston for outstanding community service and his small business. With all that Matt has achieved, he believes his greatest accomplishment is when he gave his life to Jesus Christ and his ability to establish, care for, and lead his family.
Matt appreciates that American is a place of freedom and endless opportunities; he has vowed to always vote the will of the people, the Republican Party Planks, to ensure that Texas remains a free and Conservative state, protect our borders, protect the unborn, and to eliminate property taxes. He believes all elected officials should have term limits and is looking forward to representing his community and passing the baton on when his service has been fulfilled.
